Blessward “Bleggo” Chidumba

Profile

Blessward “Bleggo” Chidumba stands among the most influential players to ever wear the Valley Panthers FC shirt.

A commanding centre back and a natural leader, Bleggo was a rock at the heart of the defence during the club’s formative years. His strength, composure and determination helped establish the defensive character that became synonymous with Shekwe.

In 2021–2022, he anchored the backline of the trophy-winning side that lifted the Chido Mwadiwa Tournament, playing a pivotal role in one of the early chapters of the club’s history.

For many within the Shekwe family, Bleggo is arguably one of the greatest players to ever represent the club — a player whose influence went beyond his position and whose presence helped shape the identity of the Panthers.

His time on the pitch may have been limited to the early years, but his contribution remains permanent.

Bleggo did not simply play for Shekwe. He helped build the Shekwe legacy.
