Valley Panthers FC, popularly known as Shekwe, was founded on 31 March 2021 in Honde Valley, Mutasa, Manicaland.
The club was born from a vision to use football as a platform for youth development, community engagement and the fight against drug and substance abuse. What started as a grassroots football project quickly grew into a club with ambitions far beyond the football pitch.
In the early years, Valley Panthers competed outside the formal ZIFA league structure, building its identity, developing players and establishing a strong connection with the Honde Valley community. Through commitment, teamwork and the support of its growing football family, the club progressed from non-league football to social league competition.
Success followed, with the Panthers establishing themselves as one of the leading sides in Honde Valley football. The club’s growing reputation, competitive performances and expanding organisation eventually opened the door to the next stage of its journey.
In 2026, Valley Panthers took another historic step by entering ZIFA-affiliated Division 2 football in Manicaland.
Today, the Panthers are continuing to build a structured football club — developing players, strengthening its administration, expanding its media presence and creating a platform for young footballers to pursue their ambitions.
From a grassroots idea founded in 2021 to competing in organised ZIFA football, the Valley Panthers journey has been one of growth, resilience, ambition and community.
But this is not the end of the story. It is the beginning of a bigger chapter.
What was once a dream in Honde Valley now stands as a football club carrying the hopes of a community. The Panthers have climbed from the grassroots, earned their place, and entered a new arena — but the hunger remains.
We are not here simply to participate. We are here to build, to compete, to inspire and to leave a legacy.
The valley gave us our roots.
The journey gave us our identity.
Now, the future is ours to chase.
Valley Panthers FC — From the valley, we rise.
